Hello…and thank you for your interest in the Global Talent Database. As a lifelong independent artist, I’ve always strived to create opportunities that promote awareness in The World of Talent. The “world of talent” to me is defined by the millions of talented people out there, who are not currently receiving exposure through mainstream channels. In fact, there is no doubt that the most talented people in the world are included in this majority. The established industry as we know it, only represents a speck of the world’s true creativity. Given this fact, why for a second should we think that those lucky enough to find corporate representation would be the most gifted? Sure…a lot of mainstream acts have great talent, but just think about what hidden treasure exists in the millions of artists that never get that lucky break.

In this new digital age, the evolving arts community is on the brink of completely redesigning the way creative works are produced, distributed and sold. New Media communication finally provides limitless connectivity that will align the creative cosmos with eager buyers from around the world. The days when the industry served as necessary middlemen are nearly over…making way for a new system that promotes the world of talent, and naturally allows those who shine to filter to the top. This new paradigm creates the opportunity for artists to financially sustain themselves by ‘what they do best', by networking with others, and being part of a forming talent community on a global scale.

So at this point, if I’ve caught your fancy…allow me to tell you how we’re all going to make this work. The first thing we must do as independents is to get organized. We must establish structure in a creative world that is currently very chaotic and disordered. The Global Talent Database is the first worldwide attempt to catalog all talents and skills into categories to form a single directory. The database allows anyone to claim their stake in the world of talent, without an editor or middleman standing in the way. From there its up to you to promote your listing to the top of the searches, seeking acknowledgements and validations from those who recognize your ability.  And don't worry, there will be plenty of guidance and advice on this as the project rolls out.

As a relentless self-starter, I was able to find success in a variety of artistic fields in the days when the cards were stacked against the artistic entrepreneur. Today, with the right networking tools and ambition, anyone can succeed in the creative marketplace. The Talent Database is the first step in promoting the talents of millions, and encouraging the world’s consumers to support the artists that deserve it the most.
