Sylvia Contreras has been singing for 20 years; unlike many vocalists, Sylvia’s talent is not limited to one specific genre. She can croon in English or Spanish and can perform a variety of styles including Country, Jazz, Latin Pop, Pop Rock Hip-Hop and R&B; all of which are sung with passion and style. Sylvia started singing at the age of 8 when she joined the Amigos, a Phoenix-based variety show in which performers were all required to dance, sing and play a musical instrument. Throughout her tenure in the performing group, Sylvia was able to perfect her ability to perform music from diverse eras and genres, including swing and big band, rock and roll and modern country music. She later performed with various musical ensembles based out of the Phoenix Metropolitan area, giving Sylvia the opportunity to sing across the United States and parts of Europe. Sylvia currently resides in Mesa, Arizona and plans to expand her musical career with an Arizona-based musical group where she can continue to captivate audiences with her dynamic and melodic voice.
